Spring Fling in San Carlos Fundraising Event!
February 21, 2010
Spring Fling is a one-of-a-kind auction gala that brings together people from all over the community to raise money for the public schools in San Carlos. It is an incredible fundraising event that is co-produced by the San Carlos Educational Foundation and the PTA Coordinating Council. Proceeds from this event will benefit all seven of the public schools in San Carlos. The event raised over $360,000 last year and over $1.4 million in the past six years. With only several months left to plan this magical ball, we need your help. Please consider one or more of the following ways to contribute: volunteer, donate, sponsor/underwrite.
This evening features something for everyone:
- • Silent Auction
- • Live Auction
- • Exciting Raffle
- • Great Food
- • Poker Tournament
- • Dancing to Live Music
- • Diamond Martini Bar
- • Costume Contest
- • Community Building
Thank you for supporting the San Carlos schools!

Sparkler Christmas Tree
December 27, 2008
Wow, I couldn’t resist this one and not post it. This man uses a sparkler to create a Christmas tree of lights! I thought I was creative, but this would be a good way to have some burnt body parts. Happy Holidays to all of you!
San Carlos Lights 1953 Eucalyptus Ave.
December 20, 2008
One thing I find unique about this street is that every single house, except 1 house for the entire two blocks is decorated. Also, since the houses on the street were built primarily in 50’s, it gives the street a very homey, quaint feel. On Saturdays and Sundays many of the residence of the street sit in their driveways with fire pits and socializing. A stroll down this street affords one the opportunity to have their picture taken sitting with the Grinch on a bench, aside a SUV pulled by lit up reindeer, behind Santa dreaming of Costa Rica come January and a with the backdrop of a house with the effect of snow falling.
Mt. Carmel Holiday Home Tour

Please note that this event has been planned with adults in mind (sorry, kiddies!). Strollers won’t be allowed in the homes, and we ask that you do not bring young children.
