Chocolate Fest

On Oct. 9, 10 and 11, 2009, the Congregational Church of Belmont will present its 27th annual Chocolate Fest.

Chocolate Fest

Twenty different vendors of chocolate wares (ice cream, gelato, brownies, cakes, cookies, truffles and candy of every sort, as well as chunks of pure chocolate) will offer samples for tasting for the 1,000 guests. Chocolate Fest will be organized in four sessions: Friday evening, 7:30-10 p.m.; Saturday afternoon, 1:30-4 p.m.; Saturday evening, 7:30-10 p.m.; and Sunday afternoon, 1:30-4 p.m.

Guests are invited to take part in unlimited tasting, champagne and coffee, a chocolate boutique and prizes. The Michael Medwid Jazz Trio will play all four sessions. Proceeds from Chocolate Fest benefit outreach projects within the community (such as Samaritan House, Second Harvest Food Bank and the Interfaith Hospitality Network) as well as the effort to maintain the historic church.

Tickets for the afternoon sessions are $17.50 in advance and $20 at the door; seniors and children will be $15. Tickets for the evening sessions are $22.50 in advance and $25 at the door, with no senior/child discounts.
