Super Diamond is here at the Fox!
August 19, 2011
I love Neil Diamond, probably because he was on my flight with TWA in the olden days. He was sitting in first class and un-be-know to me, he was/is an artist and painting a profile picture of me. He left it with me when he left the plane. Now, where in the world is that?
When your parents popped in a Neil Diamond tape on repeat during long interstate road trips, you reluctantly sang along. Never thought you’d turn out to be a Diamond fan now, right? But singing along to “Sweet Caroline” and “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show” is so addictive now, you’d do anything to see Neil on stage. A band out of San Francisco can put a rest to that Diamond thirst. Super Diamond delivers a high-octane Diamond tribute show that rocks!

Renter’s Insurance
August 14, 2011
Hi everyone,
I normally don’t get into this, but lately I have had several people ask me about renter‘s insurance, so I thought I would share this article.
5 knocks on renters insurance — all bogus
- Some 43 million American renters carry no insurance on their homes.
- “Actual cash value” and “replacement cost” mean very different things.
- Renter insurance can cover you for liability away from home.
Half the 87 million Americans living in rental housing have no insurance on the contents of their home and stand to face a total loss in the even of theft or fire — an increasing concern as we head into the holiday season.
When it comes to whether to purchase renters insurance, the answer should be a resounding yes, says Janet Portman, a lawyer and managing editor of the Nolo legal series, which publishes her book, “Every Tenant’s Legal Guide.”
But for a product that Portman calls, “absolutely a good thing to have,” surprisingly few renters are actually on board. A recent Allstate survey shows some 43 million renters would be left hanging with the total value of their lost or damaged possessions, something most renters simply can’t afford to do.
While there are a lot of reasons why people put off buying renters insurance, Jeff Moree, a product director for Allstate, says the root cause of the problem appears to be a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of renters insurance. So, with that in mind, we’ll start with some common misconceptions. After that, we’ll look at what you need to know as an informed buyer.

Grand Opening of In-N-Out Burger Today
June 16, 2011
Hi everyone, the grand opening of In-N-Out Burger is today. They open at 10:30 for those that can’t wait for a mid-morning burger delight.
The burger chain, which has been welcomed some with delight, while protested and disliked by others in San Carlos has opened.
The restaurant is located on the corner of Holly St. and Industrial. I wonder if it will cause a traffic jam.
Enjoy your burger or shake.

Gas Line Review in San Carlos
November 19, 2010
PG&E Completes Review of Gas Line in San Carlos; Community Meeting Upcoming
On Tuesday, October 26th, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) announced that it has completed its investigation of the 105-foot segment of high-pressure gas transmission line located on Brittan Avenue in the vicinity of El Camino Real in San Carlos.
The segment had been ranked on PG&E’s top 100 highest risk gas transmission pipelines because of engineering concerns about the materials used for construction.
PG&E stated that they have completed their investigation and resolved their concerns. The segment has been removed from PG&E’s top 100 highest risk gas pipelines list.
The City’s Public Works Department is now planning a community meeting with PG&E to be held in mid-November to answer resident questions and concerns. More details on the community meeting will be announced once the meeting has been finalized.
