Did you know that Father’s Day is a celebration that began in the early twentieth century, specifically to compliment Mother’s Day? It actually took a long time to make this day official.
While Mother’s Day was met with enthusiasm, Father’s Day was merely a joke to most. However, over time, people began to accept it with as much regard as they do for Mother’s Day. It is celebrated all over the world.
For 8 years and running, the Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County has held its annual picnic for fathers and their families. Affectionately called, “Dad & Me @ the Park.”
