Redwood City Port Lobster! Yeh!

August 18, 2009

Rack & Roll Restaurant

Please try our Redwood City Ports Restaurant, low key and lots of fun. . In January 2006, the Old Port Lobster Shack opened its doors and business has been great ever since. Deutsch imported many items from Maine and Boston to create a very unique New England port/harbor-style atmosphere, including the tables and benches, bouys hanging on the walls, fishing nets, a mini lighthouse and more. Great-tasting authentic New England-style seafood, a fun casual atmosphere and great customer service have made this restaurant a favorite destination for many people on the Peninsula.

August 10, 2009

Airport Sky KitchenIf you are ever in the neighborhood and miss seeing the airplanes… stop by and have a bite at the “Sky Kitchen” and watch the airplanes. San Carlos airport is a small private airport and the people there are very friendly. The airport is just down the road (so-to-speak) from San Francisco International Airport and north of San Jose Mineta Airport. Good food and good prices too!

My Hometown Water Slide

August 6, 2009

Hey, why wasn’t this there in Grand Rapids, when I was a kid. I thought it looked like so much fun that I had to share this with you all. What a great idea!

I about fell off my chair. I was working and had the news on in the background and I actually heard the name Grand Rapids… Well, we normally don’t hear that over here in CA. But, that is my home town. Well, on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, they had a story about this slide. It was so interesting that I wanted to share this with all of you.

250-Foot Water Slide in Michigan Makes Everyone Forget About the Economy

Everyone loves a good Slip-n-Slide during the summer. Nothing says excitement like “10-feet of thrilling movement down a barely wet piece of plastic.” I know, I know. I’m a little too sarcastic sometimes; but it’s people like Rich Haralson that restore my faith in humanity. See, Haralson created the 250-foot Slip-n-Slide “inspired ride” down the side of a hill in Grand Rapids, Michigan that actually is a legit summertime thrill ride.
