Turkey Crossing, Opps…Sorry, it was only the Duck Crossing!
November 26, 2008

- Happy Thanksgiving Anyway
Happy Thanksgiving, to all of you and your families. RSB, we finally got some rain, it didn’t feel like Thanksgiving without it. Although, it seems every time I get started to light a fire in my fireplace (real wood), it is a spare the world day. Go figure, I wonder what will happen when it gets really cold. But, then I don’t know much about this kind of stuff. I went out looking for some “turkeys” and all I could find was “ducks”. I gave a HINT, but the first 3 people who find the duck crossing and can prove it will get a free turkey on the duck crossing queen. Happy Hunting!

Friday, November 28 through Saturday, December 6
Come experience the excitement of Filoli’s spectacular nine-day Holiday Traditions event. This year’s theme, The Holly and the Ivy, symbolizing the warmth and goodwill of the season, is reflected in the festive decorations of the House and Garden. Relax in Filoli’s charming setting while enjoying lunch or supper. The Evening Dinner Party is an elegant dining event with live music and dancing in the ballroom. Enjoy the magical warmth of the Holiday Traditions.
I have been a member here for quite a few years. It is such a breath taking beautiful place and especially at this time of year. If you haven’t been to Filoli before, now would be a great time to visit. Enjoy dinner, dancing, strolling and listening to the music or shop till you drop!

Alana’s Cafe in Redwood City
November 6, 2008
Alana’s Cafe is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast or lunch. alana’s Restaurant is in a historical home located in Redwood City. Alana’s has a quaint and cozy atmosphere where you can eat inside with the 4 different dining rooms or outdoor on their patio area. Saturday and Sundays provide all day breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere. Alana’s is a great place to take a client or guest if you want a relaxing lunch without being rushed or hurried along. I give this one a “thumbs up”!
For more information, go to the Alana’s Cafe website.
